Biography
Dr. Larry Tatum’s patients return year after year going on 30 years because of his knowledge and skill in caring for women’s medical needs and his sincere concern for their wellbeing. Dr. Tatum utilizes Baylor All Saints Medical Center’s Andrews Women’s Hospital, a center designed and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of women through all stages of their lives, to ensure his patients have the best care possible.
Dr. Tatum, M.D. graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 1979. After completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas in 1983, Dr. Tatum began his gynecology practice in Fort Worth where he and his wife, DeVonne, raised their three children. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Association, and is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (board-certified).
As a practicing gynecologist, preventative care and the management of common gynecological problems are the foundation for Dr. Tatum’s practice. He is experienced in diagnosing and managing dysfunctional uterine bleeding, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, herpes and other sexually transmitted diseases, abnormal pap smear, menopause, and many other gynecological disorders. Dr. Tatum will assist in the scheduling of mammograms, bone density studies and other important diagnostic tests.
