Personal Interests

Dr. Shetty is a global traveler and enjoys experiencing various cultures, philosophies, and spirituality. He is a women’s cancer screening and prevention advocate. Dr. Shetty is a founder of a multinational nonprofit service organization, Woman’s Cancer Foundation, which advocates for cost-effective combined screening methodology for breast and Gynecological cancers in low-resource countries. During his free time, Dr. Shetty likes to spend time with his two daughters, pursue his hobby of amateur astronomy, and wine tasting.

Biography

Dr. Mahesh Shetty is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine, a fellow of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Breast Imaging, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. His expertise in breast and gynecological imaging has earned him distinction as a published thought leader. He has published two textbooks, book chapters, four special issue journals, and written over 25 papers on Breast and Gynecological Imaging. He is currently working on a third textbook on Breast and Gynecological Imaging,

He has been practicing in the Medical center for 25 years, and as the Chief of Woman’s Center of Breast care and MRI at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas until 2015. Dr Shetty assumed a leadership role as the Managing Director of the The Breast and Imaging Center in July of 2016.
