Dr. Parveen S. Vahora is board-certified and fellowship-trained in laparoscopic and pelvic surgeries. A laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is a hysterectomy in which the cervix remains in place. Dr. Vahora removes the uterus using only laparoscopic tools, separating the uterus from the cervix and removing it through one of the abdominal incisions. Similar to the da Vinci® Robotic Assisted Hysterectomy, the laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy has a lower risk and faster recovery times than traditional methods.

This is a tubal sterilization procedure which uses the body’s natural openings—no surgical incisions are necessary. Small implants are placed into the fallopian tubes, promoting tissue growth which block the tubes and prevent pregnancy. Pelvic floor reconstruction can be used to treat pelvic organ prolapse, which is when pelvic floor muscles are weakened or damaged.
