Biography

Amy Weissbarth is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC). Amy was born and raised in Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University earning her BSN with honors and distinction. Shortly after, Amy completed the nurse practitioner program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. While in graduate school, Amy worked as a nurse at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania on a floor caring for patients after gynecologic surgeries as well as patients carrying high-risk pregnancies. Upon graduation, Amy had the opportunity to work at University of Pennsylvania’s Student Health Service seeing young women for annual gynecologic exams, contraceptive counseling/management, and gynecologic concerns such as vaginitis.

Since 2012, Amy has been providing prenatal and postnatal care at InovaCares Clinic for Women in Fairfax, VA.

As the newest team member at Merit Women’s Care, Amy is excited to begin helping women achieve lifelong health. She has a particular interest in contraception counseling, prenatal care and well-woman appointments.
