Biography

Megan has worked as a RN for 8 years on a range of units, before obtaining her MSN as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She spent her last 4 years as a L&D nurse, and was able to spend part of that time at Inova Fair Oaks where she enjoyed working alongside the delivering providers of this practice. You may have recognized her, she was doing her clinical rotation with Dr. Hashemi.

Since getting to volunteer as a doula in highschool, Megan has known she wanted to work in women’s health. She loves being able to work with women on their health goals and prioritizes open communication, empathy, education, and empowerment.

While she does not attend deliveries, she loves to provide prenatal care and enjoys being able to share practical knowledge of labor and delivery experiences with women from her time at Fair Oaks.

She is also passionate about women’s health throughout the age spectrum including family planning, health screenings, and menopause care.
